ICT’s ProtegeGX delivers top-performing access security and security technology and a seamless user experience at Nazareth House

Continuing the mission of the Sisters of Nazareth, the brand-new Nazareth House Christchurch aged care facility provides over 170 residents with a continuum of care, from independent living to residential and hospital care. The brand-new facility is built on the site of the original home, which was damaged in the 2010/11 Canterbury earthquakes.

ICT’s ProtegeGX solves aged care industry challenges with ease: protecting people and property, and complying with the requirements of what is a heavily regulated sector.

For ICT, the key measure of the success of a system is the quality of end user experience, and this is always at the core of any system design.

With ProtegeGX installed at Nazareth House, users could immediately access vehicle gates and key facility areas safely and securely and also extend that ease of access to family and friends as required for special events and family visits.

A remote ProtegeGX client allowed authorised staff access to the system and, for operators, the system’s customisable filters provided categorisation of alarm and event data as well as immediate access to floorplans to view alarm conditions and event activity.
